Cancellation Policy

Hello fellow travelers!

Thank you for taking the time to read our cancellation policy.

As a boutique travel company offering distinctive travel experiences, we partner with independent tour providers and family-run hotels.  Our agreements with these smaller, local companies and partners is made many months in advance and often includes a contract with advanced payments required.  In order to honor these agreements and not negatively affect our providers, we promise a certain number of people and payment amount.  This is why we ask our travelers to commit to their reserved trips.

We advise all our travelers to purchase a premium travel insurance policy that includes the 'cancel for any reason' benefit, which will offset the majority of your paid expenses in the event that something unexpected comes up and you have to miss your trip.

In the rare event that you have to cancel, cancellations are made by emailing us and is considered a confirmed cancellation once we reply 'confirmed'.  The date you sent us an email will act as your cancellation date.  And we will confirm within 24-72 hours.  If you don't hear from us in 72 hours please re-send your cancellation email and give us a call!

Cancellation Timeline:

* Should you have to cancel within two weeks of booking the trip (but not within the booking deadline timeframe), then your deposit is 100% refundable minus any credit card transaction fees.

* Should you have to cancel after the first two weeks of booking the trip and if we can fill your spot from a wait-listed person (or you find someone to take your spot), then we will refund your deposit less a $250 administrative fee.

* Should you have to cancel after you have made your final payment and if we can fill your spot from a wait-listed person (or you find someone to take your spot), then we will refund your deposit and balance payment less a $350 administrative fee.

* Should you have to cancel two weeks after booking the trip but no later than 90 days before trip departure, and we are unable to refill your spot, then any monies paid to us will be placed as a credit on your account that you can use towards traveling with us in the future. If you cancel within 90 days of departure, all monies are retained with no refund as those funds have already been paid to our local providers.
